In April of 1999, New York Philharmonic violinist, Matitiahu Braun organized a concert of chamber music at the Great Hall at Cooper Union in New York. All of the musicians were playing instruments made by Guy Rabut.
In the fall of 2001 Guy Rabut was invited to participate in a show at the American Craft Museum in New York City. "Objects for Use: Handmade by Design," was a show which set out to represent a cross section of the finest in craftwork at the dawn of the new millenium. His modern form violin was selected to represent innovation in traditional violin making.
